How to License Your Dog
1. Come into the office with your proof of rabies document.
2. Pay your fee.
3. Obtain license Certificate.
License fees for dogs within the Town of Fairfield are as follows:
January 1st - January 31st
Spayed/Neutered $3, Not Spayed/Neutered $6
February 1st - February 15th
Spayed/Neutered $8, Not Spayed/Neutered $11
February 16th - March 14th
Spayed/Neutered $13, Not Spayed/Neutered $16
After the March deadline there will be a penalty of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) added for each animal licensed. The Town of Fairfield requires all dogs living in the Town limits to be licensed. Proof of rabies vaccination certificate is required at the time of licensing.
New residents will have a period of thirty days upon being notified, in writing, to license their pet without being penalized, however, any new resident that does not answer the written notice to license their pet will then be subject to a $25.00 fine.
